Mt Buckaroo Brew Co
Introducing Huntington Estate's AWARD-WINNING new range of Craft Beer and Cider.
The Huntington Estate vineyard sits on the lower slopes of Mt Buckaroo, a moderating influence on its micro-climate and the source of the lean and ancient soils that are so perfect for growing wine grapes.
‘It takes a lot of beer and cider to make a great wine… but not just any brew will do, so we decided to make our own!’
Grape-growing and winemaking is thirsty work… around 108 bunches of grapes go into a dozen of Huntington Estate’s famous bottles of red wine, and according to our ‘field research’, it takes a 4-pack of ciders to grow and harvest those 108 bunches of grapes to perfection. After that, each one of our famous red wines gets tasted around 73 times on its journey from grape to finished wine – and ‘study’ has shown that it takes a slab of ales or 6 x 4 packs to make each wine to perfection!
Mt Buckaroo Brew Co Winemaker’s Cleansing Ale (ABV 4.9%)
This mid to light-bodied, silky smooth and citrussy pale ale has been specially brewed to meet the exacting standards of Tim Stevens, Chief Winemaker. “Our Cleansing Ale had to be refreshing and clean of course, but it also had to have some substance. Flavour – though not too much, and body, but not too much. Just call me Goldilocks… Anyway, I couldn’t be happier with the result.”
"Because of its subtle aroma, the big floral, perfumey hop flavour pleasantly surprises. All the juciness is backed up by a fitting bitterness in its finish. Pretty darn good" Drink Easy Awards - Top 10 Australian Hop-Driven Beer
Mt Buckaroo Brew Co Vigneron’s Quenching Cider (ABV 4.9%)
This truly delicious cider is crisp, light and so fresh it could quench the fiercest thirst. A delicately flavoured, dry cider with a bit of a bite brewed to Tim’s taste (wearing his Vigneron’s hat this time). Made from a unique blend of Granny Smith, Fuji and Pink Lady apples it’s a perfectly balanced brew that will have you coming back for more (and more...)
"Great balance, offering clean but ripe red apple characters, brisk fizz of carbonation , good tang to acidity, delicate tannin kiss. Highly drinkable but also one for the cider nerds." Drink Easy #6 All Ciders Australia, #2 Traditional / Wild Fermented Category
