2016 Huntington Estate Shiraz Cabernet Sauvignon

Complex, intense, fruity.
Vineyard / Winemaking: Estate grown fruit from our low-yielding vines (60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Shiraz) spent 1 week on skins with a portion in barrels for malolactic fermentation. The remainder was sent to barrels (20% new French and American). 18 months maturation prior to bottling.
Aroma: Jammy, succulent black and red currant with hints of spice and cedary oak. Vibrant, supple and bursting with fruit.
Palate: The fine grained but grippy tannins and fresh natural acidity mean it’s soft and smooth with a long, tight finish. The plummy, bright fruit is subtly enhanced with a hint of vanillin oak and crushed herb and there are layers of complexity beneath the fruit that will keep you coming back for more.
