2013 Huntington Estate Merlot
Vintage: A return to more normal conditions after the cool, wet vintage of 2012. Good heat over ripening season, wet finish to test the morale and courage of the vineyard team.
Vineyard / Winemaking: Huntington Estate fruit picked at 13 Baumé.
Description: Vibrant, fruity and silky smooth.
Aroma: Lovely black cherries, blackcurrant and red fruit with a bit of spice.
Palate: Medium-bodied, with silky and super-fine grained tannins, giving wonderful smoothness, length and mouth feel. Balanced acids support the abundant fruit to deliver freshness.
Cellar: Cellar for 6+ years.
Drink with: Drink with something fatty like pork belly, or duck.
