Cellar: Drink now and until 2036.

95/100 Outstanding  “A distinguished Cabernet Sauvignon… excellent varietal definition courtesy of cassis and black olive fruit allied with a touch of earth, the tannins particularly fine, yet firm, as they should be, the finish long and balanced…To 2036.”  James Halliday.

93/100 "Deep, dark, youthful red/purple colour; impressive to behold in the glass. The wine is strongly oaked and a bit closed at this moment; it's lively and bright, with rather prominent acidity... while there is also plenty of fleshy extract and tannin. Oak, acid, concentrated flavour and grip, with some eucalyptus mint. A wine for cellaring." Huon Hooke.

90/100  "... savoury flavours and gently sweet fruit, well acid etched finish of good length. Personality here..."

"5/5. ...The wine is inky purple, has potpourri aromas and brings vibrant blackberry flavour to the front of the palate. Rhubarb, dark chocolate and spearmint characters integrate with savoury oak on the middle palate and ferric tannins come into play at the finish..." The Newcastle Herald, John Lewis, 19 Sept 2015

"...vibrant red and black fruit flavours and is quite herbaceous and earthy with a hint of chocolate and a long finish. It’d probably keep for another 20 years in the cellar, if you could resist it for so long." Food Wine Travel, Christine Salins, September 2015

"Quite an elegant wine which lets the fruit shine. A far cry from a big and robust Cabernet. Give it some air. Black fruits, dark chocolate, cloves with savoury finesse plus a hint of leafiness too. There's a whack of oak but it doesn't wrestle the focus away from the fruit entirely. Only 13.6% alcohol, the fruit is super soft and sits long... Very Good."  Q Wine Blog, September 2015

"The 2011 vintage was wet and relatively cold throughout south-east Australia and Tim Stevens has done a marvellous job producing such fine, elegant wines from a difficult vintage that was in cases left hanging on the vine. Drink with rare baby lamb cutlets and spring vegies as they appear."  Illawarra Mercury, John Rosentals, August 2015.

"... Their 2011 cabernet sauvignon is a particularly good wine given the difficult vintage.  Its aromatics remind of cedar, clove and blackcurrant.  The palate is in balance and quite elegant, with between medium and long length on the finish and similar flavours.  Overall, an attractive cab sav.  Good to Very Good." Sean Mitchell, Grape Observer, August 2015

"Beautiful, clean and potent, with ripe red and black fruit flavours that persist. Very rounded and full bodied with a great midpalate..." National Liquor News, September 2015

"Still a very youthful purple/black with an intense, rich and fleshy, chocolate and bramble-fruit palate, the finish soft, savoury and perfectly balanced with a pleasingly moderate 13.6 per cent alcohol." Hobart Mercury, Graeme Phillips, October 2015

"A great wine from the venerable vines of Block 3 which consistently produce some of the best Cabernet in NSW." Tim Stevens, Winemaker
